Mariquita returns from the Japanese officials tent to the camp. The Americans come to defeat the Japanese. Mariquita's husband Edward returns from where he has gone to. The Americans win the battle. Mariquita is reuntied with Edward, her children, and her whole family. All the Chamorros who survived rebuild their homes and restore the island. The Americans help with the financial issues and start importing food, clothing, and etc.. The Chamorros survive the invasion and restore their culture, island, and the Chamorro PEOPLE. BIBA CHAMORRO!
In the end, Mariquita was gone. She was sent to the Japanese leader's quarters and then after that she just disappeared. No one knew where she was. No one couldn't find her body. No one knew what happened. After the Japanese invasion ended, Edward got released and he tried to find Mariquita but she couldn't be found. Now Edward is reunited with his kids, Chris and Helen. It also said that Edward married another woman.
